Welcome to Findochty – locally pronounced Finechty (fin'ech'tay)
To the East of the village the cliffs rise toward Tronach Head, honeycombed with caves and inlets. Cliff top paths link Findochty with the neighbouring village of Portknockie, and to Strathlene on the outskirts of Buckie in the other direction.It is a place to stop for spectacular views over the Moray Firth and its busy traffic of fishing boats, oil rigs and passing bottle-nosed dolphins.
